Greener steps for a green future!
The youth exchange enabled 42 participants from 7 EU countries to improve their knowledge, competencies and skills in the field of environment and sustainability of natural resources and fight against climate change. During this cooperation, the participants got closer to national practices from 7 EU countries that were presented in order to motivate young people to actively be part of Eco actions and activities for cleaning the local environment in which they live and work. Through the organization of activities for friendship and education, the participants improved their leadership and managerial abilities and had the responsibility to promote green habits for a clean and healthy environment. The participants had the opportunity to improve their communication skills by using the English language, but also to get closer to various new EU languages that will be promoted through this cooperation. The organization of intercultural evenings allowed participants to promote their cultures through food, clothing, song and traditional games in order to promote an educational culture in the EU. Through the organization of intercultural quizzes, the participants were expected to improve their cultural knowledge about the EU, but also to promote themselves as leaders who promote equality and friendship.
During the youth exchange, the participants had the opportunity to be part of a local environmental action through which they would have the opportunity to promote themselves as Eco activists. During the cooperation process, the participants caught the opportunity to participate in a local practical visit to an organization that works in the field of environmental protection, but also to be part of a panel discussion with active environmentalists. By participating in various reflection activities, the participants learnt how to monitor their progress and document it using the Youth pass certificate. The participants got closer to the certificate and had the opportunity to document the acquired knowledge, skills and competencies through this collaboration.
