Youth voices for green change
This youth exchange brought together 42 participants from seven partner organizations and significantly enhanced their knowledge, skills, competencies, and attitudes in the fields of environmental protection, sustainable use of natural resources, and the promotion of green practices and renewable development. Throughout the exchange, participants shared national experiences and good practices from seven EU countries, contributing to the identification of effective methods and approaches for future eco-green initiatives aimed at environmental sustainability.
The project also served as an important platform for improving communication skills through active collaboration in English, while encouraging participants to engage with and appreciate local Spanish traditions and culture. Moreover, the young people strengthened their organizational and managerial abilities by planning and implementing activities rooted in non-formal education. Through this collaborative learning environment, participants were introduced to innovative methods of non-formal education and contemporary green educational practices.
The exchange promoted cultural diversity by highlighting the heritage of seven EU countries. Intercultural evenings and thematic activities were organized, providing opportunities to explore and celebrate the richness and attractiveness of European diversity. Participants were also actively engaged in the design of eco-actions and awareness-raising methods, focusing on environmental protection and the sustainable management of natural resources. As a result, they were empowered to act as green ambassadors, advocating for environmentally responsible behaviors in their local communities and beyond.
Additionally, the participants contributed to the project’s visibility and dissemination by producing a variety of materials, including photos, videos, posters, and other promotional content aimed at increasing public awareness of environmental issues. They continued to engage in follow-up activities after the project’s completion, maintaining sustainable communication and supporting ongoing promotional efforts.
A key component of the exchange was the structured reflection and evaluation process supported by the Youthpass certificate. Participants practiced daily reflection, monitored their learning progress, and documented newly acquired knowledge, skills, and behaviors. They gained practical experience in using Youthpass as a tool for personal and professional development.
The project also promoted the Erasmus+ Programme 2021–2027 and placed strong emphasis on inclusion. Seven participants with fewer opportunities were actively involved, gaining valuable international experience, strengthening their social participation, and enhancing their understanding of non-formal education. Their involvement supported the project’s objectives of fostering equality, socialization, and inclusion of vulnerable groups.
