Building Better Youth Mental Health

The youth exchange project successfully enabled 36 participants to enhance their knowledge, skills, and competencies related to the protection and promotion of mental health. Through a series of non-formal educational activities, the participants strengthened their understanding of mental well-being and developed practical tools to foster a positive social climate and promote equality within their communities. This experience empowered them to position themselves as future advocates of positive change, inclusion, and equal opportunities.

A key focus of the exchange was the inclusion of 12 participants with fewer opportunities, who were provided with a valuable platform to express themselves, build confidence, and engage actively in an international environment. Their participation fostered social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and personal growth, demonstrating the Erasmus+ program’s commitment to equal access and empowerment for all young people. The project encouraged meaningful interaction among participants from diverse backgrounds, helping them to build friendships, share experiences, and affirm their potential both personally and professionally.

Throughout the exchange, participants collaborated to create a range of informative and promotional materials that highlighted the project’s outcomes and increased visibility for the Erasmus+ program. These outputs served as both educational resources and promotional tools, effectively disseminating the project’s message on the importance of mental health awareness and youth engagement through non-formal learning.

Moreover, the youth exchange significantly contributed to the development of the six partner organizations involved. Through active collaboration and exchange of best practices, the organizations improved their operational capacities, strengthened their networks, and enhanced their reputation as active promoters of youth empowerment and mental health protection. The cooperation fostered mutual learning and established a foundation for sustainable partnerships, opening new avenues for future Erasmus+ initiatives and other collaborative projects.

This project represented a valuable opportunity for all stakeholders—participants, partner organizations, and local communities—to grow and innovate together. It inspired the creation of new project ideas and initiatives aimed at supporting young people’s active participation in society, particularly through internal editorial workshops, peer-learning sessions, and future key actions within the Erasmus+ framework. By combining education, inclusion, and intercultural cooperation, the youth exchange left a lasting impact on its participants and partners, reinforcing their collective commitment to promoting mental well-being, equality, and social cohesion across Europe.
